Spectrum ESPN Outage
ESPN outages on Spectrum split into three: cable box authorization, ESPN app / streaming failure, and Spectrum-side headend issues.
Cable box: black screen or error IA01
Reboot the box. If ESPN comes back within 5 minutes, it was an authorization refresh.
Streaming: ESPN app buffers or crashes
This is usually ESPN's CDN, not Spectrum. Try the ESPN app on a phone over cellular — if it also fails, it's not you.
Regional: only ESPN affected
Spectrum's regional headend re-encodes ESPN's feed. A single dropped multiplex can black out ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU together while other networks stay up.

Do I need to keep signing in to ESPN?
Every 60–90 days ESPN forces a TV provider re-auth. Use your Spectrum credentials.
Is ESPN part of my Spectrum plan?
ESPN is on Select tier and above. Streaming access is included with any TV tier that carries the channel.
